Attitude

This week I went to a dance performance at Sadler's Wells - Wayne McGregor's Random Dance - Entity. Earlier I had seen a flamenco show by Spanish National Ballet in the same venue, and had gotten exactly the same impression:

One is not supposed to see some hidden comprehensible meaning looking at these performances. There is not an idea or meaning they are pointing at - other than themselves. They just are. More importantly, they do. One gets a feeling of attitude and decisiveness looking at the dancers. They don't have a moment to think, to hesitate. Looking at the beauty of the performance, they seem like for months and for years, they never hesitated. They just believed in the beauty of what they were doing.

I love that idea. Believing in something so much that never hesitating.
